Oyster Babies Early Childhood Center is a private, New York State licensed, Center. Located in the hamlet of Oyster Bay and serving the surrounding community, Oyster Baby enoys the many local treasures - parks, museums and library.
We offer a wide rane of Full and Part-time program for children six weeks to five years old.
Nurtritional breakfast, lunches and snacks are prepared and the premises and served daily.
Extended hours of care: 7:00am - 6:30pm, are offered year round, in all of our child care programs.
Our staff consists of highly qualified and experienced teachers and care-givers. Each staff member has been selected on the basis of their talent for teaching young children. In order to stay abreast of Early Childhood Education and to grow as professionals, continual training is required of all staff. Specialty staff includes a Music teacher, and registered nurse and pediatrician consultant.
At Oyster Babies we know that "young children learn best through play." Our program focuses on the development of social and emotional growth, specifically building self esteen. We prode ourselves on the creative atmosphere of each class. Daily routines are flexible so that teacher planned curriculum may be combinded with spontaneous child initiated activities.
Parents are encouraged to be involved with their child's program. Special Center Events, such as Special Persons Day, Grandparent Day, Internation Day and the Halloween Parade are just some of that are held annually. A strong relationship is encouraged between Home and the Center. Parent/Teacher conferences are held each semester.
